A few weeks ago, Marble Brewery shipped three pallets of beer to China, the first time the brewery has sold its beer in the country. The beer will be shipped to 18 cities in China via North Isle Trading. North Island Trading is a Manchester-based Chinese company that has partnered with Marble Brewery to bring its eoe beer to the mainland Chinese market.
Marble Brewery announced on Instagram: "We are very proud to announce that Marble Beer is now available in 18 cities across China! We cooperate with North Island Trading Company to distribute core classic products and large specials from Beijing to Shanghai and beyond!"
Other cities include Changsha, Dalian, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Qingdao.
Fan favourites such as Manchester Bitter and Earl Grey IPA are coming to the Chinese market. Marble Brewery has shipped a total of 14 beers to the Chinese market.
Originally based in the Marble Arch Pub in Manchester, England, Marble Brewery expanded to Salford City in 2019 and now exports to Japan and other European countries including Italy, Finland, Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands.
According to Paul Plowman, the company's sales director, China is the fastest growing craft beer market in the world.
