Hite Genlo has renewed its dark beer for the first time in 13 years

 On October 30, the Hite Beverage Company announced that it will completely update the Stout product and packaging design. This is Stout's first full update in 13 years since 2011.
The company explained that the updated Stout, which contains oats, has a softer, deeper flavor and is fermented using the raga process for a refreshing taste.
The new design incorporates the main ingredients of Stout into the packaging.
Launched in 1991, Stout is South Korea's first lager dark beer and has accumulated sales of more than 600 million bottles to date.
The new products will be available in convenience stores and hypermarkets from early 2025. In addition to the 1.6-litre PET bottle beer, a new 500ml easy-to-pull lid can beer was also launched.
Sung-taek Oh, Executive Director of Marketing at Hite Jinlo, said: "For the first time in 13 years, we have fully updated Stout to break the bitter bias of dark beer and introduce a smooth and delicious dark beer. We will continue our aggressive marketing campaign to ensure that Stout is loved by even more consumers."
