On March 16th, Belarus added ten Russian-produced beer brands to its register of dangerous products. These include beers from craft breweries such as Four Brewers, AF Brew, Koma, and Wild Hills.
The explanation in the register is that the reason is non-compliance with the technical regulations of the Customs Union:
These products do not comply with the safety and labeling requirements stipulated in the Customs Union Technical Regulations TR CU 021/2011 "Food Safety" (Chapter 1, Article 5, Paragraph 1, Chapter 2, Article 7, Paragraphs 1 and 8), TR CU 022/2011 "Food Labeling" (Article 4, Paragraph 4.4, Item 6), and TR CU 029/2012 "Safety Requirements for Food Additives, Flavorings, and Technological Aids" (Part 1, Paragraph 1, Article 7, Paragraph 13, Article 9, Part 1, Paragraph 1, Appendix 8).
The product card also states that the aforementioned easy-open-end canned beer beverage contains "unacceptable additives" - potassium sorbate, potassium metabisulfite, sorbic acid (E200), and benzoic acid (E210).
