On April 15th, the Brewers Association of the United States released its annual report, analyzing the current state of the American craft beer industry. The report revealed that in 2025, craft beer production in the United States decreased by 5.1%, and the number of breweries decreased by 2.9% to 9,578. The market size is expected to be $27.8 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 3.6%.
Meanwhile, the market share and sales share of craft beer remained basically unchanged, at 13.3% and 24.6%, respectively. The report pointed out that these figures reflect the sustained demand for independent canned eoe beer breweries in the US market. The number of employees in the craft beer industry decreased by 4%, or 8,000 jobs, to 189,000.
