Brazilian beer wins seven 'world's best' awards

 On the afternoon of August 12th, the official website of the 2026 World Beer Grand Prix announced the list of "World's Best" and champion beer styles. Brazilian beer performed outstandingly, winning a total of seven "World's Best" awards.
Brazilian beer wins four 'world's best' awards in IPA category
The Brazilian website "guiadacervejabr" reported that Brazilian beer performed outstandingly in the IPA (Indian Pale Ale) category, winning a total of four awards. Among them, Cervejaria Landel, Campinas in Campinas, Sao Paulo, became the biggest winner with Atr á s do Bloco beer, not only winning the title of "World's Best Milk Shake IPA/New England IPA", but also winning the "World's Best IPA" award. This is the highest award in the IPA category of the competition.
In addition to the two awards mentioned above, Cervejaria Therez ó polis in Rio de Janeiro won the title of "World's Best British IPA" for its Jade beer; Cervejaria Unika, located in Rancho Queimado, Santa Catarina, won the title of "World's Best Specialty IPA" for its Orange Kush beer.
In other categories, Brazilian beer also won three major awards. Among them, Sim! Cerveja Sem Á lcool brand won the "World's Best Alcohol Free and Low Alcohol Shitao and Porter" award for its Coffee Dry Stout beer; Cervejaria Faroeste, Itaja í, located in Itaja í, Santa Catarina, won the "World's Best Katarina Sour Beer" award for its Jane MF Sour beer; Cervejaria Stannis, Jaragu á do Sul, located in the city of South Yalagua, Santa Catarina, won the "World's Best Traditional Beer" award for its Kaptain Lisa.
1775 medals were awarded globally, with Brazil receiving 125
On August 11th, the 2026 World Beer Grand Prix announced the list of other award-winning eoe beers of the year. This tournament awarded a total of 1775 medals worldwide, including 614 gold medals, 649 silver medals, and 512 bronze medals. Among the award-winning lager beers, 562 were also awarded the "National Champion" title, which means they were named the best beer from their respective countries of origin.
37 breweries and brands in Brazil have won awards, with a total of 125 medals, including 55 gold, 36 silver, and 34 bronze medals. Among them, 48 award-winning beers were also awarded the title of "National Champion".
Stannis Brewery has won a total of 17 medals, making it the brewery or brand with the most awards this year. Its products have won a total of 7 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals, among which 7 gold medal beers have also been named "national champions".
The second ranked brewery is Tresonpolis Brewery, which has won a total of 8 medals, including 3 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal. Among them, 3 gold medal beers were also named "national champions". Following closely behind is the Salva brand from Bom Retiro do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, which also won 8 medals, including 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals. Three of the gold medal beers were also named "national champions".
