Asahi Beer appoints female singing and dancing group 'Blackpink' as brand ambassador
On July 7th, Asahi Beer Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Asahi Group Holdings, announced that it has appointed world-renowned Korean pop idol BLACKPINK (also known as Pink Ink) as its high-end easy to pull beer brand "Asahi Super Cool Image Ambassador" from today onwards. The company will collaborate with Asahi Group's subsidiaries in various East Asian countries to carry out large-scale promotional activities.
This cooperation is a part of the integrated marketing activities carried out by Asahi Group with its subsidiaries in East Asia, such as Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Mongolia. It is expected to become the largest joint promotion activity in East Asia in the history of Asahi Super Cool.
Asahi Super Dry is a global brand sold in over 50 countries worldwide. BLACKPINK is a world-class music group with a huge fan base in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Asahi Group plans to leverage its global influence to enhance brand awareness and attention.
This activity will be mainly carried out in Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Mongolia and other East Asian markets. It is also the first time that Asahi Super Cool Beer has been comprehensively promoted in this region, and BLACKINK has served as the beer brand image ambassador for the first time.
The event will be launched in various regions starting from July 2025, including the launch of limited edition original design cans, promotional gifts, and large-scale advertising campaigns in various markets.
BLACKPINK is a South Korean female singing and dancing group under YG Entertainment, consisting of members such as JISOO, JENNIE, ROS É, and LISA. Since their debut in August 2016, they have released several hit songs that have broken record sales and established their status as global superstars.
They are the first Korean pop music artists to have albums with million and double million sales, and also the first Asian female artists to simultaneously top the Billboard 200 and official album charts.
