On August 4th, the unique "loach beer" was launched. Mayor Tanaka of Anlai City, Shimane Prefecture, Japan visited the Anlai Craft Brewery, RONDINBREWERY, which develops loach beer, as well as representatives from the Youth Chamber of Commerce, and personally tasted this easy lager beer.

The Japan Youth Chamber of Commerce is committed to utilizing local characteristic resources to build it into a regional brand. Rodin Brewery collaborated with the Anlai Youth Chamber of Commerce to jointly brew this loach beer.

After tasting the loach beer, Mayor Tanaka said, "The taste is fantastic, it's really delicious. You can't even smell the fishy smell of loach

Loach beer is made by fermenting the soup extracted from dried loach with malt. The addition of broth enhances the hop aroma of beer and gives it a subtle umami flavor.

Shikawa Changhong, the head of Luoding Brewery, said: "If you brew with loach, you will definitely have a fishy smell, so after repeated attempts, we found a way to remove the fishy smell and retain its essence."
